Fashion: Work Uniform December '13 - February '14

I received my second set of uniform around December time, you can take as long as you like to pick what you fancy but you MUST have all of your uniform by the time the next set comes through. We usually have about six to eight weeks in between cycles so it probably won't be too long before our next, around February most likely.
You can see what I picked last time here although annoying I have somehow lost one of my tops from back then! Very frustrating, even more annoying is that most of my clothes are now in sale so technically we shouldn't be wearing them.

I really wanted this trousers but we didn't have my size so I bought size bigger and they are pretty massive, I had to roll them at the waist-band! A tad annoying.
Also the dress was a present so I guess it doesn't technically count as uniform but I can wear it to work any day which is a bonus.
I think I have a pretty decent selection now so I can mix up some outfits, will be creating some blogposts on outfits soon!

Life: 2014 Resolutions

I contemplated not even mentioning resolutions of 2014 but I thought I would jump on the New Year bandwagon!
I don't have resolutions as such, more like aims for 2014 and I must confess they are probably very similar to other peoples....

"There's nothing better than live music. It's raw energy, and raw energy feeds the soul."
A fair few people have gone with seeing more live music and I'm glad, we need to appreciate it more. Watching artists perform live is probably my favourite thing to do, I have two gigs booked for February and I am planning on attending many more as the year goes on. whether it's a mega star at a full-blown arena venue or an new band at a more intimate place, I cannot wait! I pretty much described the two I currently have planned; Taylor Swift at O2 Arena and 5 Seconds of Summer at Shepherds Bush Empire. (BTW I saw 5 Seconds of Summer in November last year and did a cheeky review)

"Cherish your human connections: your relationships with friends and family."
It is so much harder to see my friends and family then I wish it was and in all honesty then it should be. My boyfriend lives in Devon, one of my best friends lives in Birmingham and the other in York, my older sister lives in Bristol whereas my mum and little sister live in the Midlands! It is so tricky (and expensive) to make my way around the country, it costs far too much money, takes far too much time and is far more complicated then I wish it was! But in all honesty, it is worth it. "We must learn to appreciate what we have right now, before times forces us to appreciate what we had."

“If a nation loses its storytellers, it loses its childhood.”
I love to write (duh) but I swear I have been writing the same novel for the past fifteen years! My aim this year is to write more then just one chapter!
As for reading, I love finding a book I just can't put down, I am currently on my 3rd John Green novel; Will Grayson, Will Grayson and I plan on reading many more in 2014. If you haven't already check the guy out, I have read The Fault in Our Stars and Looking For Alaska, check out my review of the first here and I want to keep reading more and more :D

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
I was bought a guitar for my birthday last year and after attempting to teach myself to play (I failed) I have decided to have some lessons, even if it's just one or two. Whether or not I will be able to afford this anytime soon is the true question as I know it isn't cheap. But I have wanted to learn for so long now and I can just tell how much I will love it when I finally pick it up.

What are your New Years Resolutions?

Life: January 2014 Loves

So a new year has come and I hope you are all having a fabulous 2014 so far. Here are my beauty, fashion and lifestyle craves so far!

  1. River Island Pastel Blue Handbag, £30, I saw this in the Kingston store and fell in love. The colour is so fresh and summery
  2. Topshop Pastel Blue Tee , £26, Another pastel piece! I love this sheer number and think it would look fabulous with something high-waisted
  3. Quiz Clothing Galaxy Crop Top, £4.99, I wish I could rock crop tops, this galaxy printed one is super cute
  4. Nelly Holograph Heels, £32.95, I am loving stilettos and these holographic beauties would look ace with a simple black mini or possibly even blue or green to bring out the colours
  5. Mean Girls Quote iPhone Case, £22, I have been looking for this for ages! One of my best buds found it the other day but it's a tad pricey
  6. River Island Black 'Molly' Jeggings, £40, I tried these on and will definitely be getting them as part of my next uniform. They are SO comfortable and go with everything!
  7. Missguided PVC Skirt, £17.99, Another piece of blue but they also have this in pink and in the skater skirt variety. I love both to be honest; style and shape
  8. ASOS Cat Eye Sunglasses, £10, Cat eye sunglasses are eternally stylish, they have a bit of a vintage Marilyn feel to them which I adore
  9. River Island Print Skort, £28 I have been craving a skort since I spotted them in Zara last summer! This quirky print would work for night or day.
  10. YSL Babydoll Mascara, £18, This mascara just seems so divine and I am always looking for a new one to try out plus the 'Babydoll' idea truly intrigues me
  11. Pandora Silver Fairtyale Charm, £65, How amazing is this charm? I haven't bought one in forever and I would love this one to add to my collection!
What do you have your eye on this month? I thought January would be a rather inexpensive month but as it turns out it is costing me a lot more than I had anticipated...
